We are hereby glad to introduce ourselves as Swrna Rajhans Students Welfare Society – Charitable Trust (S.R.S.W.S. Trust/Swrna Rajhans Trust), wherein we are working for the welfare of poor, needy, deprived & deserving students and their underprivileged families from low-income groups and weaker sections of society residing in slum, rural, urban and tribal areas. Our Organization is ISO 9001:2008 certified and recognized by Government of India. We are 12A & 80G registered under Income Tax Act 1961 so all National/Indian donations to us are eligible for 50% Tax Exemptions. We are also registered under FCRA Act and can receive International/Foreign donations on our welfare projects. We have Total 09 National & International Registrations, Certifications and Approvals from Government of India.

WHY STUDENTS?

‘Students’ are ‘Youth Power’ of our country. Youth builds a nation. So they are strength and assets of our nation. Education makes every student strong, self sufficient, self dependant, self confident and competent to earn their livelihood and get food, cloth and shelter on their own for them and their family. Empowerment and development of students is empowerment and development of nation. Youth power is a recognized force in the world today. The youth are filled with tremendous energy and towering ambitions. They can be utilized as a constructive and as a destructive force by any nation. Youth is that spark which needs no ignition. Youth is that clay which can be molded in either shape one wants. This is the sole reason for both exploitation and utilization of youth in the destruction and construction of any nation respectively. Nations strength is in its youth. Youth is that phase of life where dreams are built and a bright future is foreseen. It is the age of discovery and dreams. These are the years to foster moral principles, construct value system, build strong nationalism, develop love and respect for nation, understand rights, duties and responsibility towards nation or society and begin an all-new journey on the path of the ‘right’. So if we are working for the welfare of the students we are directly working for the welfare of nation.

When we are emphasizing on development of students by giving them higher education, we are actually emphasizing on development of nation by creating strong future generations that is also self sufficient, self dependant and component enough to earn their livelihood on their own for them and their family.

It is said that “Instead of fishing everyday and feeding someone, teach him fishing so that he can feed himself for a life time.” We believe in this philosophy to make students self sufficient and strong enough to take care of their livelihood on their own for life time by giving them strong tool called as ‘Education’. We believe that Anna (Food), Vastra (Cloths), Niwara (Shelter), Shikshan (Education) ani Arogya (Health) these are basic necessities of life. But we believe that instead of giving all these things for free to that person for life time considering him poor or needy, give him ‘Education’ and make himself dependent and competent to earn his livelihood and get food, cloth and shelter and also avail health facilities on his own for life time for him and his family. Education is the only thing that makes him enabled to support his family and avail above necessary basic things on his own. High education, good vocational training, skill development and income generating programs help students to acquire or upgrade their vocational skills and enable them to enhance their income to support themselves and their family in future when they grow up. Not being able to pursue higher, professional or skilled education in desired field as per their abilities, qualities, potentials, natural talents and interest, because of lack of financial support to students, is also one of the major reasons of high unemployment in youth of our country. Because in most of the cases youth don’t intend to go in to the field where they don’t want to make their career, believing that they cannot show their true abilities and give excellent performance with 100% potentials for better out puts and also cannot get mental satisfaction or end up being a failure in life. After acquiring higher or professional education and good vocational skills, students generally become competent enough to earn their livelihood, this distract students from illegal, non ethical and criminal activities though we create strong future generations those prove to be strength or assets of the nation.

We are centralizing our focus with word ‘Students’. The field ‘Education’ is very vast; if we say we are working in the field of ‘Education’ it may divert our focus. So we are working on ‘The Students’ and ‘Issues Those Distract Them from Education or Restrict Their Growth & Development’ by centralizing our focus with word ‘Students’. This is the reason in our organization’s name we have specially added the word ‘Students Welfare’.

PASSION

 

“To serve your country if you cannot be on the border as a soldier fighting your enemies, then you should at least serve your country being within the society by solving thousands of social problems in the country “.

When we meet and greet, we say ‘Vande Mataram’ for showing respect to our nation. Our Indian freedom warriors used to greet each other by saying ‘Vande Mataram’ because they were proud to be Indians. We want to carry forward this tradition of saying ‘Vande Mataram’. These legends sacrificed their lives for the independence of our nation. Now our soldiers are sacrificing their lives every day on the border for protecting our nation. By saying ‘Vande Mataram’, we actually salute all of them and make their soul realize that we know the value of your sacrifices made for our nation and we respect it, so we will never let it go in vain. When we say ‘Vande Mataram’ we pay tribute to these legends and soldiers. When we say ‘Vande Mataram’ we remember courage and sacrifices of these soldiers and legends. When we say ‘Vande Mataram’ we pay respect to their mothers who gave birth to such great immortal worriers and sacrificed their beloved children for our nation. The word ‘Vande Mataram’ creates a power and courage within us to fight against non ethical values in the society. The word ‘Vande Mataram’ makes us realize our duties and responsibilities towards this nation as an honorable part of the society.

Each person of our organization has joined us for selfless social work for serving the nation as we are proud to be Indian. We have well educated, well trained, well qualified and certified team that have dedicated themselves for genuine and truly selfless social work with great passion and respect to the nation. When any candidate in our organization is selected he takes oath of dedicating himself for the selfless service of nation considering himself to be ‘Rashtra Sainik’. They are not only our team members but our SOLDIER because we strongly believe that “To serve your country if you cannot be on the border as a soldier fighting your enemies, then you should at least serve your country being within the society by solving thousands of social problems in the country “. Poverty, hunger, inequality, corruption, discriminations disturb all of us from within. We believe that to finish all the social problems from the root we have to work on the ‘Root Cause’ of the problems not on their ‘Symptoms’. We understand our responsibility towards the society and country so we all are now intensely involved in the service of the nation and work with passion striving to remove the problems from the ‘Root’.

MISSION VANDE MATARAM

 

Our Organization is working for the welfare of poor, needy, deprived and deserving students and their families under our “Mission Vande Mataram – National Social Welfare Mission”. The main aim of the mission is to work for education by working on the issues those distract students from education and to work for upliftment, empowerment and development of poor, needy, deprived & deserving people and their underprivileged families from low-income groups and weaker sections of society residing in slum, rural, urban and tribal areas of our country. We are working on the issues of ‘Students’ and their ‘Family Members’ by involving them in active social work on the concept of ‘Scout & Guide’ or ‘National Service Scheme’ (NSS) to create strong, matured and responsible Indian citizen out of them.

There are THREE categories of obstacles / issues those distract students from education.
1] Personal Issues.
2] Family Related Issues.
3] School Environment and Educational Infrastructure Related Issues.
We believe that under these three categories there are around 19 Main Aspects which distract students from education or restrict their growth & development. These aspects are elaborated on our website under ‘Projects’ Link. Out of these 19 aspects 11 Aspects are directly related to the students so are ‘Personal’ and 08 Aspects are related to their ‘Family’. So we cover THREE Sub – Programs i.e. UDAAN, JEEVAN SANJEEVANI, SHALA…..etc. under this ‘Mission Vande Mataram’ to cover above THREE Categories.

UDAAN

First program is “Udaan-Student Adoption, Welfare & Free Education Program”. Under this program, we adopt students from low-income groups and weaker sections. Students who cannot pursue or/and afford education because of their weak financial condition as they belong to low income families. This Program covers 11 Personal Aspects those distract students from education or restrict their growth & development. We strive to provide FREE EDUCATION to these students by taking care of their complete educational & medical expenses for entire year.

JEEVAN SANJEEVANI

Second program is “Jeevan Sanjeevani- Student’s Family Adoption & Welfare Program”. This Program covers 08 Family Aspects which distract students from education and are directly related to their families. Under this Project, we adopt families of student’s selected/adopted under ‘Udaan’ or families of students from school adopted under ‘Shala’. We also cover other underprivileged families in the jurisdiction area of our committees from low-income groups and weaker sections of society residing in slum, rural, urban and tribal areas. To locate and adopt students and these families in jurisdiction area of our committee we conduct home to home surveys and visits and also visit schools and colleges in same jurisdiction area of the committee. For the welfare of students and all other members of these adopted families including women, girls, children, youth, working children, old age people, deaf, dumb, blind and handicapped people, physically disabled & mentally challenged people, any curable or incurable disease patient and other needy people of all gender and all age groups in the family, we conduct programs like Free Education Program, Women, Girls And Youth Empowerment & Development Program, Free Health & Medical Camps for free healthcare services and medical treatments, operations, surgeries for any curable and incurable disease at free of cost, Basic Necessities Distribution & Family Welfare Program, Multi Commodity Distribution Centre Facility….etc. We also avail them with Child Development Centre Facility to give special focus on the child development issues by providing their children education, basic food & nutrition by midday meal programs and medical facilities for their health. Today 60% students go to bed with empty stomach. Since proper source of livelihood is not available they face poverty and hunger. Considering the issue under Hunger Free Family Program we provide “Free Meal Distribution Centre’ facility for free distribution of food. Apart from these facilities, we arrange Family Awareness Program to make them aware about sanitation, hygienically living, proper use of water, and other social issues, which help them to rise above and involve in mainstream population. About 90% diseases in students are ‘Water Born’ diseases so we emphasize awareness on ‘Importance of Safe Drinking Water’ and also provide them with techniques or sources of availing safe drinking water. We specially arrange various Vocational Training & Skill Development Programs for these adopted families especially for women, girls and youth in these families, to make them self dependant and competent to earn their livelihood and get food, cloth and shelter on their own for them and their family, mainly to be enabled to support their students in their studies.

SHALA

 

Third program is “SHALA – School Adoption and Welfare Program”. Under this program we are adopting schools those are facing financial crisis and cannot run their education process in future because of weak financial status. We are adopting these schools for providing them financial support for good school environment and better educational infrastructure facilities. This includes proper sitting benches, lights, fans and other electric devices, school projectors & screens, writing boards, school libraries, notice boards, computer labs & internet connections, well equipped science laboratory, all teaching and learning materials and stationary, sports equipments, safe drinking water facilities to students and mainly toilet facilities for girls…etc and other necessary facilities are provided to school for smooth conduct of education process and systematic provision of a school for the transmission of knowledge, information, technologies and quality education. We proudly says Gurur Brahma Gurur Vishnu Gurudevo Maheshwara, Gurur sakshat Param Brahma Tasmai Shrii-Gurave Namah, because we know the role of teacher is very important and vital in the case of development of students so we specially arrange teachers training and motivation program, teacher’s capacity enhancement program for the teachers in these schools. Under ‘Udaan’ & ‘Jeevan Sanjeevani’ programs, we also work for the welfare and development of parents and their students who are studying in these schools, adopted under ’Shala’. School environment related issues are specially handled at management level.

NATIONAL SOCIAL CARE CADET

 

We want to create the next generation that is responsible in terms of rights, duties and responsibilities towards our nation. So students are motivated to ‘Donate Their Efforts’ by participating in the social activities of the NGO as a ‘Social Care Cadet’. Our ‘Social Care Cadet’ concept is based on ‘Scout & Guide’ and ‘National Service Scheme’ (NSS) program of Government of India.

Two hands alone cannot make a revolutionary social change in the society. So we believe that all of us must come together and join our hands to get involved in “real social work” with pure intention of true and selfless social services to bring a long lasting or permanent social change in the society. We need more and more hands to join us in this mission, this is what we exactly are doing by this systems. Thus, we get more and more helping hands from the community itself for getting effective delivery of results. So in our seminar we give special focus and emphasis on this topic of involving parents and students in active social work. Because without their active involvement we can never work successfully on above educational and social issues those are directly related to them and have ill effects or spoil the entire society directly or indirectly and also distract students from education or restrict their growth and development.

Education is not about passing the classes one by one, it is about the process through which we convert young minds in citizens of tomorrow, who are capable to shoulder the responsibility of the nation. Only educated youth cannot be strength or assets of the nation. They must be proud nationalist who are socially very aware and responsible, they must have moral values and life principals, they must be good citizen only then they can become strong nationalist and assets of our country. So to make them good and responsible Indian citizen we are involving them in our organization’s social welfare activities as a ‘Social Care Cadet’ to get them close to the social issues to make them realize the gravity of the social problems.

Founder President of our ‘Swrna Rajhans Trust’ believes that his base of understanding social responsibilities and working on social problems was built when he was in ‘Scout & Guide Camp’ from his standard 3rd. There after he actively had participated in many ‘Social Service Camps’ in rural and tribal areas in Satara in his school and high school days, which created strong feel of responsibility in him towards the society and the nation. That is why on the basis of ‘Scout Guide’ and ‘National Service Scheme’ (NSS) he created concept of ‘Social Care Cadet’ in his organization.

The pattern of involvement of students in active social work as a ‘Social Care Cadet’ is very different than ‘Scout Guide’ or NSS concept. He noticed many short coming and drawbacks in those ‘Scout Guide’ or NSS concept or system of involvement of students in active social work under these concepts. He believes that ‘Scout Guide’ or NSS concept is not solving the real purpose of involving students in active social work to create strong citizen and socialist out of them as many times it becomes just a formality to do social services under such camps conducted by ‘Scout Guide’ or NSS for gaining some grace marks for passing the examinations or uploading photos on social networking sites to make a show that they support social work……and of course, we don’t want to make such photo albums.

When we say there are short coming and drawbacks in those ‘Scout Guide’ or NSS concept or system it doesn’t mean they are not proper or wrong but we just want to mention that they are not fulfilling expectations. Expectations like we expect them to involve themselves in social service for life time even after finishing their education and academic life, which is not fulfilled. We expect them to involve other youth in local areas social services, which is not fulfilled. We expect to make groups of people to work for welfare of their own and other poor people, which is not fulfilled. We expect them to aware people on various subjects and strengthen them to fight for their justice, which is not fulfilled. We expect them to work constantly on various issues outside till it is uprooted the problem permanently, which is not fulfilled. Because we never find any system that can monitor or regulate such things is available and if available then it is not implemented in the way it should be.

Involvement of students as a ‘Social Care Cadet’ also shows that they want a change in their future so they are really serious about their life, career and responsibilities towards their family, society they are living in and nation. Their strength and seriousness is proven by their involvement as a ‘Social Care Cadet’ where they help organization by ‘donating their efforts’ for conducting social activities. So through this students prove that even though they are poor, needy and from deprived conditions, they are not weak and broken hearted but strong and courageous and want to conquer the war against their poverty and deprived conditions.

JAI HIND

 

We arrange ‘JAI HIND – 01 Hour for NATION – Rastra Vandana Samaroh Program’ every month. We gather all students and their parent, teachers and other local well known personalities and conduct this program. We salute our nation and remember our social duties and responsibility and promise to follow it. We organize various speeches, plays, dramas, music, patriotic song singing and poetry readings, elocution on various social subjects….etc for spreading social messages to aware students and parents. This program is really very important for creating responsible Indian citizen out of the students and produce socially aware & responsible generation for our nation.

‘Jai Hind- 01Hour For Nation – Rashtra Vandana Samaroh’ is specially designed project for active involvement of students in selfless social services for the purpose of getting them close to the social issues and make them understand gravity of the social situation and seriousness of the social problems and also create strong nationalist among them. DAVANDI

 

We arrange ‘DAVANDI – VIDYARTHI SAMAZ JAGARAN RALLY’ every month. Today every family has students in their home. Today’s students are our tomorrow’s responsible Indian citizen so we started involving students in awareness program. Plan behind this is ‘to hit two birds with one stone’ means to reach every family with help of these students as every family have at least one student in their home and also to involve students to awareness program to make big impact on their little mind about these social issues to make them realize the gravity of the situation. We believe that education isn’t limited to the classroom walls. Instead, it arms children with knowledge in this social awareness program, students debate on issues at school-wide assemblies, picking topics relevant to their lives like dowry, child marriages, pollution ……. and many more. As the spotlight is not only on primary education, but overall development of the children by encouraging them to think, imagine and thus evolve as responsible citizens. Under this program the children are thought about their role as a citizen in a society. They are also made aware about the harmful effects of consumption of drugs and are counseled to gradually make the children abandoned drugs consumption with the motive to make them self dependent healthy and strong future of our country. Also social awareness program is not only confined to verbal debates as a source to spread awareness but it also stages shows or does nukkad natak, street plays i.e. street shows, street events….etc in our rallies on social issue to gratifies people to seek knowledge through entertainment.

ACTION PLAN

 

As per our ACTION PLAN, under ‘Parents & Students Counseling For Development and Empowerment Program’ we are gathering all families of students, under one roof, to work on their educational, medical and other issues, under ‘Udaan’ & ‘Jeevan Sanjeevani’ Programs of ‘Mission Vande Mataram – National Social Welfare Mission’. We work on the issues those distract students from education or restrict their growth & development. Under this Program, we cover parents & students from families of student’s adopted under ‘Udaan’ or families adopted under ‘Jeevan Sanjeevani’ or families of students from school adopted under ‘Shala’. We also cover other underprivileged families in the ‘Jurisdiction Area’ of our committees from low-income groups and weaker sections of society residing in slum, rural, urban and tribal areas. To locate and adopt students and these families in jurisdiction area of our committee we conduct home to home surveys and visits and also make visits to schools and colleges in same jurisdiction area of the committee. Under this Program, we keep all students, parents and their families Under Observation for the entire year under ‘Educational Assistance with Convincing & Motivational Interactive Counseling with Yearly Observation Systems’ and work for their welfare throughout the year.
